Capturing the Bay to Breakers Metamorphosis
Bay to Breakers, it’s easily one of San Francisco's most iconic events of the year, and its history dates back over 100 years. Many of us know it as a party you can run in or a party to watch people run in, but it truly started as a good ol' fashion marathon in 1912.
Each year pictures of the event surface online communities and weave themselves into the fabric of SF's culture, but how did this race become what it is today? Where did the change take place? What inspires today's participants and partiers?
We wanted to know the same and decided the best way to dig in was by creating an Enwoven collection to make sense of it all.
